5th Annual Bikers For Boobs - July 18th

Hey Everyone,
As most of you already know the Georgia Rollers have volunteered to help with the 5th Annual Bikers for Boobs Poker run.  This is one of the four dates as part of the organization "Bikers Battling Breast Cancer" has set up.

At the last meeting we voted to take a different approach of a riding club and instead of showing up to ride we wanted to do more.  We decided we would lend a hand with the event.  I have spoken with Lisa Herman and she has graciously accepted our offer to let us help.

At the last meeting we passed a sign in sheet around for volunteers for this date and the other two dates that are part of the events.

Wendi and Keith (Capt. Morgan) have volunteered to coordinate the help needed for the June 6th event "Boobapalooza" in which there will be a leather and lace fashion show.  If you are interested in helping out wit this event please get with Wendi or Keith and everyone please try to attend.  

The next event will be the Bikers for Boobs Poker run the weekend of July 17th & 18th.  From talking to Lisa there will be a Battle of the Bands on Saturday with the details to follow.

On Sunday July 18th the actual Bikers for Boobs Poker run will kick off at one of our supporting vendors Atlanta Harley Davidson.  We will be helping set up the event and helping with the cleanup as well.  There will be opportunities for us to help out in other aspects of the event also.  Lisa will fill us in as to what roles we will be able to help out with.

So if you would like to help support the event in order to show your support for finding a cure for Breast Cancer and Breast Cancer awareness please let us know.  This is a great time for any of the Rollers to get involved and do a little more.  This is also a great chance for any of the FNG's or future potential members to come out and not only help but get to know the Georgia Rollers.

So save the date as the Rollers will be out in full force to help in the Battle against Breast cancer.

Lisa Herman will be coming to the April Meeting to talk to us about what roles we will play in this years events.  I have the list of attendees and if there is anyone who was not at the last meeting that wants to sign up for this event or Boobapalooza get with Gumby or me and we will add you to the list.

Keith you can put me down to work one of the tables on the poker run and help with set up and possibly tear down if needed either day.

Alright Rollers. Online registrstion for the Bikers for Boobs Poker Run on the 18th is now up and running!!!  Just go to www.bikersbattlingbreastcancer.org, click on the link at the top for Bikers for Boobs, and you can register there. Hope we can have as good a showing here as we did for the Ride to Live. I know we will be volunteering in different capacities for this event, but it doesn't mean you have to miss all the fun.

Lisa Herman just contacted me, and would like to know how many we can commit to helping with BFB. She wanted to know if we can commit 12-16 folks to help man the stop points between Atl HD and the VFW. I know some of us are wanting to ride as well, so we could be some of the 1st bikes out i would think, and just stop and work our designated card stop, then head out after the last bike out came through, and all ride in together. The last bike out would have to be someone we knew, and i told Lisa that would have to be if we did it this way. Need names as soon as possible please. I have the sign up list from February (i think it was), and can reference that this evening if you don't remember signing up or not.
If you don't want to ride, and just help out, then i'm SURE we can use you!!
